Infertility:

At Dr. Humera Zafar Hospital, our Infertility department is dedicated to helping couples achieve their dream of parenthood. Infertility is defined as the inability of a couple to reproduce by natural means. It is not typically the natural state of a healthy adult, except for certain conditions such as pre-puberty in children and menopause in women. Our specialized team provides comprehensive care, from diagnosis to treatment, to address the various factors that contribute to infertility.

Symptoms of Infertility:

The main symptom of infertility is not getting pregnant despite trying for a prolonged period. There may be no other clear symptoms, but some women may experience irregular menstrual periods or no periods at all. Men may exhibit symptoms of hormonal problems, such as changes in hair growth or sexual function. Infertility can result from health issues in either partner or a combination of factors that prevent pregnancy.

Treatment Options Without IVF:

Infertility can be managed through various treatment methods that do not involve in vitro fertilization (IVF). These include laparoscopy and medications, which can address underlying issues and enhance fertility. Our team of specialists is experienced in providing personalized treatment plans to increase the chances of conception.

When to See a Doctor:

    • Couples should consider seeing a healthcare professional about infertility if they have been trying to conceive for at least one year without success. However, women should seek medical advice sooner if they:

      • Are 35 or older and have tried to conceive for six months or longer.

      • Are over 40 years of age.

      • Have no periods, irregular periods, or very painful periods.

      • Have known fertility problems, endometriosis, or a history of pelvic inflammatory disease.

      • Have had more than one miscarriage.

      • Have undergone cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiation.

    • Men should see a healthcare professional if they:

      • Have a low number of sperm or other sperm-related issues.

      • Have a history of testicular, prostate, or sexual conditions.

      • Have had cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy.

      • Have undergone hernia surgery.

      • Have testicles that are smaller than the typical adult size or have swollen veins in the scrotum.

      • Have experienced infertility with a previous partner.

      • Have relatives with infertility problems.

We trust in the healing power of Allah Almighty, who provides us with perfect healing (Shifa-e-Kamala), and we are committed to supporting our patients with compassion and expertise throughout their infertility journey.
